Nicole Toohey
Sport without competition, movement without greed, mind on the breath creates no worries.
Nicole cannot remember when she consciously started to be fascinated with meditation; it seemed to be an always existing desire to be still. The love for Hatha yoga started in her mid-30s, from the first class that she joined – which took only to look for relief from physical pain and instead, was directly hooked to the dream that moving meditation could be the way to everlasting happiness.
After happy years of believing no matter who teaches, there is only pain relief that can be brought to the body through the practise of seemingly any form of Yoga, she still wondered about the importance of a Guru.
She had previously signed up with Shantarasa yoga teacher training in 2013 to experience an Australian based study. After turning away from traditional yoga for some time due to a few disenchanting encounters with people who claimed to practice so-called Traditional Yoga, she briefly turned to casual Gym Yoga only – until she met Raj.
In 2015, while teaching in 2 different Gyms, she learned to her surprise that she loved talking about YOGA. She is happy to give away her own breath awareness (for a little while), to be in the presence of a room full of people being aware of theirs.
You relax others; they have the power relax yourself.
